Essendon has called on experience to get it over the line against Melbourne in this Saturday's Elimination Final at the MCG. Dean Rioli, Matthew Allan and Jason Johnson have all been recalled as has livewire forward Damian Cupido. Mark Mercuri, Jason Winderlich, Jason Laycock and Marc Bullen were all omitted to make way for the quartet.

Essendon coach Kevin Sheedy says his team will welcome the chance to play a final at the MCG, despite Melbourne's dominant record at the venue this season. ""We haven’t played many finals at the MCG lately, but we play pretty well there,"" Sheedy said before training this afternoon.
