One game left in the season and one last chance for Essendon VFL to secure their spot in the finals series.

Essendon will take on the Northern Blues in a must win encounter, this Saturday at Windy Hill.

Currently sitting in eighth position, a win will see the team move clear of Richmond VFL and straight into the finals.

If the Bombers lose, they will have to sit tight and hope that Coburg are able to secure an unlikely victory over the Tigers.

While the Northern Blues will take no greater joy in beating the Bombers and ending their own season on a high note.

A real danger game for Essendon, fans are encouraged to get down to Windy Hill and cheer the boys on.

#19 Shaun Edwards – Has had a very good month of football averaging around 25 possessions.  We will need his pace and line breaking ability with a few speedy VFL players out this week.

#50 James Polkinghorne – Always consistent and is a goal kicker at VFL level.  Ready for a massive game when it counts.

#59 Aaron Heppell – Hard to believe he could play any better this season but he has since he moved into the midfield 3 weeks ago. 

#61 Alex Boyse – 2 games and 7 goals has been great output by the man people call the X-Factor.
