Essendon Football Club is proud to support Autism Awareness week, a neurological disorder that is close to the Essendon family.

Essendon myotherapist Brad Holt has been personally touched by the disorder that affects 1 in 96 people. Brad’s cousin Gabriel has been diagnosed with Autism. If one child in the family has it the chances of a second getting it increases by 20%. It is the most common condition in Australia and also the least funded with each child receiving just $12000.

Bomber young guns Joe Daniher and Dyson Heppell are encouraging Essendon fans to make a donation and support this worthy cause.

Autism is a neurological disorder that affects communication, behaviour and social skills. Purple Lion is a charity that helps family’s affected and the education of young kids with autism through a program called little learners.

Little learners is a centre-based intervention program for children with autism. It provides children the most effective & evidence based educational approach for children with autism through Autism Behavioural Intervention Association (ABIA), unfortunately this costs families $64000 per child.

Brad’s company Action Myotherapy is attempting to raise money and awareness for the neurological disorder.  For the month of April they have changed everything on Facebook and Instagram (@action_myotherapy) to blue (colour for autism awareness) and will give $1 for every hour of work this month as well as any donations received.

You can contact Action Myotherapy to donate or book a massage to give the Action Myotherapy team another hour of work and another excuse to give an extra $1 by calling 0401-292-549 or going to www.actionmyotherapy.com.au
