Essendon trio Angus Monfries, Cale Hooker and Jake Melksham are set to join in the festivities of the Australian Open this weekend at Melbourne Park.

On Saturday January 21, the players will be taking part in a number of Kia activities as well as a signing session before attending the night session of play at Rod Laver Arena.

They will be at Federation Square from 3pm to take part in the Kia longest rally competition before heading to Grand Slam Oval at Melbourne Park to take part in the KIA driving simulator.

Kia, a co-major sponsor of the Essendon Football Club, plays an important role in the Australian Open each year in assisting with transporting players, officials and guests around Melbourne.

KMAu President and CEO Chongwoo Kim says Kia is happy to continue to play an important role in the first tennis Grand Slam of the year.

“For more than a decade Kia has been a proud sponsor of the Australian Open, one of the world’s great sporting events, and that commitment has not wavered,” Mr Kim said.
