Essendon’s pocket-rocket, Alwyn Davey, has accepted a reprimand and 93.75 points towards his future record after being charged with a level two tripping offence against St Kilda’s Nick Dal Santo.
The incident, which occurred during the third quarter of the NAB Cup semi-final at the Dome on Friday night, was assessed as intentional conduct (three points), low impact (one point), and body contact (one point).
The total of five activation points resulted in a classification of a Level Two offence, drawing 125 demerit points and a one-match sanction. As Davey had no existing record, an early plea reduced the penalty by 25 percent to a reprimand of 93.75 points towards his future record.
