The Returned Services League (RSL) of Victoria has launched an online Remembrance Day campaign in lieu of a coronavirus-impacted year.

November 11 is an important day on the global calendar to commemorate the end of the First World War and remember those who died in the line of duty.

In the lead-up to the day, Bombers fans would have been accustomed to seeing RSL Victoria volunteers out and about in daily life selling poppies and accepting donations to help assist servicemen, servicewomen and their families who are in need.

However, with an unprecedented health pandemic changing a lot of normality in 2020, the organisation has enabled Victorians to continue supporting a worthy cause through the virtual Poppy Appeal Remembrance Garden.

The campaign enables anyone to purchase a poppy and plant it in RSL Victoria’s virtual garden for any donation amount, which can also be done anonymously.

The initiative is also part of their commitment to ensuring Victorians remember ‘Lest We Forget’.
