Essendon says fans wanting to purchase a casual ticket to attend this year’s ANZAC Day match against Collingwood will still be able to secure a reserved seat for $25, despite media reports.
Tickets for home and away matches will go on sale on Monday including the April 25 blockbuster against the Magpies.
Chief Marketing Officer Justin Rodski said suggestions the cheapest ticket would be $60 were incorrect.
“There will be limited reserved seats available at $25 for our 2017 ANZAC Day match,” he said
“Casual ticket prices in other categories have increased this year but we are committed to providing our members with the best value and we would encourage fans to buy a membership to secure the best seat at the best price on ANZAC Day.
“With ANZAC Day a fully ticketed match, we have the option for our members wanting to upgrade to purchase a reserved seat for just $7, subject to availability.
“ANZAC Day is a special day on the AFL calendar, it is a privilege for Essendon to be involved and as our home game in 2017 we hope to have as many of our members in attendance as possible.”
An Essendon membership provides the best value for Bombers fans wanting to attend all big blockbusters this season.
Purchasing a Flexi 11 Game membership offers access to 11 home games for $180, a saving of $95 compared to buying general admission tickets.
