Irving Mosquito has had his game cut short after an incident just before three-quarter time against Geelong at the Gabba.

The second-year forward twisted his left knee when trying to stop Cats defender Tom Stewart.

He immediately fell to the ground and clutched his knee, before being assisted off the ground by club trainers.

The club will provide an update on Mosquito's injury when more information comes to hand.
