“Michael had surgery on his wrist late last year and the cast came off last week. Structurally the wrist is very sound and our fitness team were really pleased with that - naturally he has some stiffness in the joint which can cause some jarring,” Hamilton said.
“He actually played in our match simulation at training this morning and he wouldn’t be doing that if we had any concerns regarding his fitness. Michael’s rehabilitation is exactly where we thought it would be at and if he doesn’t play round one of the NAB Cup he will certainly play round two.”
Dustin Fletcher came off the track early today as part of his training load management while fitness staff continue to be pleased with David Hille’s progress. Coach Matthew Knights expects to have Hille available for selection in the early rounds of the 2010 season.
