Essendon Football Club will meet with Chris Judd later this week in a bid to convince him that Windy Hill should become his next home. But that will only be the first hurdle with Essendon then having to arrange a suitable trade with the Eagles.
Essendon managing director Peter Jackson said this evening the Club would first meet with Judd and gauge his interest before putting together any potential trade offer to the Eagles.
“Clearly the first step is to meet with Chris before we really set our mind to what a trade might look like,”
“Given the number of talented young Western Australians we have at the Club I suppose it is only natural that people will speculate but there is a real balance we need to strike here – we won’t be making any rash decisions with players we think could be here for the next 10 or 12 years.”
