Barry Hall kicked seven goals on Essendon centre half back Kepler Bradley at The Dome last weekend but Bomber coach Kevin Sheedy isn’t about to start looking for easier assignments for him. Sheedy confirmed this afternoon that Bradley would get the job on Brisbane star Jonathon Brown tomorrow night at the Gabba.

""Kepler Bradley is the only match up there as far as I am concerned. We have got to teach this young boy to play on champions,"" Sheedy said. ""Brown is a champion and so is Hall so we will get him out in the trenches so he can find out what footy is all about.""

""It was good to win against Sydney last weekend but playing here is a different story. Brisbane have beaten us here a number of times in recent years and we need to get back on the winners list,"" Sheedy told waiting media at the Gabba this afternoon.

""But history is about the past so we don’t want to dwell on that – we did bring a very young side up here last year and we weren’t that far away in the end. A lot of players that played that night aren’t at the club any longer so this is a whole new group in many ways.""

Youngster Jobe Watson did an excellent job in the midfield for Essendon last week and supporters will be hoping for a similar display on Saturday night. Physically Watson looks totally different from 12 months ago and Sheedy is hopeful he will continue to be rewarded for his hard work.

""Jobe just made a decision himself – there is a certain element in elite sports people that coaches themselves. You look at your own career path and assess where you are going, where you want to go and what you have to do to get there,"" Sheedy said.

""He made an excellent decision and has trained exceptionally hard and eaten the right things. He has said to himself ‘I want to be a 100-game player’. He is 21 years of age and has played 13 or 14 games and he has got a good career ahead of him as long as he keeps that attitude.""

Sheedy is certain life is going to be tough for key Essendon forwards Matthew Lloyd and Scott Lucas. Lloyd will match up on Mal Michael while Lucas will get a re-match with his NAB Cup nemesis – first-gamer Wayde Mills.

""Mal Michael is a fantastic footballer and there is not much difference between him, Dustin Fletcher and Matthew Scarlett when you talk about the best full backs in the competition. He plays quite well on Lloyd.,"" Sheedy said.

""I see the young fellow (Wayde Mills) has also come into the side and he played quite well on Scott Lucas in the NAB Cup. Scott will want to make sure his form is right. But it is the midfield that is where it matters – that dictates who gets the most opportunities.""
