Essendon will contest charges laid against Adam McPhee and Nathan Lovett-Murray by the Match Review Panel following Sunday's clash with Port Power.
 
The AFL today advised the tribunal will sit tonight at 5pm, Tuesday May 6, Charges will be heard in the order listed below.
 
Adam McPhee, Essendon, has been charged with a Level One offence for making forceful contact from front-on offence against Travis Boak, Port Adelaide, during the fourth quarter of the Round Seven match between Essendon and Port Adelaide, played at Telstra Dome on Sunday May 4, 2008.

The incident was assessed as negligent conduct (one point), low impact (one point) and high contact (two points). This is a total of four activation points, resulting in a classification of a Level One offence, drawing 125 demerit points and a one-match sanction. He has an existing bad record of one match suspended within the last three years, increasing the penalty by 10 per cent and 12.50 points to 137.50 demerit points and a one-match sanction.

Nathan Lovett-Murray, Essendon, has been charged with a Level Two striking offence against Daniel Motlop, Port Adelaide, during the second quarter of the Round Seven match between Essendon and Port Adelaide, played at Telstra Dome on Sunday May 4, 2008.

The incident was assessed as intentional conduct (three points), low impact (one point) and body contact (one point). This is a total of five activation points, resulting in a classification of a Level Two offence, drawing 125 demerit points and a one-match sanction. He has an existing bad record of three matches suspended within the last three years, increasing the penalty by 30 per cent and 37.50 points to 162.50 demerit points and a one-match sanction.
