The Essendon team ventured to the Eastern suburbs on Monday, May 26th for training. The team's skill session was held at Yarra Valley Grammar, Ringwood and over 2000 people came to check out the Bombers in action. Supporters enjoyed a sausage sizzle while they watched the team run through their paces and after training the players signed autographs for the fans.
In his latest ""Insider"" column, Essendon full forward Matthew Lloyd talks about the interstate teams leading the AFL competition at the moment. After Round 9 the six interstate teams are all in the top eight and have proved this season that they can win both at home and away. Lloyd believes the final eight is not set in concrete yet and with 13 rounds to go a number of teams are capable of tasting the September action. Go to The Insider for Matthew's full column.
