Andrew Lovett was today handed a $900 fine and an additional three month suspension to his license for driving infringements.

Lovett was booked twice this year for driving without a license and, following today's court appearance, cannot drive until mid-November, 2009.

Football operations manager, Paul Hamilton, said Lovett understands the seriousness of his offence and is committed to doing the right thing.

""Andrew accepts the punishment handed out today and is genuinely sorry for his actions,"" he said.

""He is currently putting measures in place to avoid a repeat of his disappointing behavior and the club is supporting him during this process.

""We expect all our players to meet community standards and Andrew has let himself and the club down and he understand this.""

Hamilton said the matter has now been dealt with by the courts and the club has no further comment.
