Essendon forward Damian Cupido is in serious doubt for this Friday night's blockbuster clash against Collingwood. The 21-year-old didn't train this afternoon and Bomber coach Kevin Sheedy said he could miss with a quad injury. In better news for Bomber fans, Sheedy confirmed that Dustin Fletcher and Sean Wellman are both likely to return after missing last week's match against Fremantle. The two defenders both trained this afternoon at the team's skill session at Essendon Grammar.

Essendon needs to win the match to have any opportunity of finishing in the top four, but Sheedy said he has no control over the other results and his only concern is winning Friday night's match. ""We have to win the game - that is the main thing. Whatever happens, happens. The main thing is we have to get Friday night right against the Magpies. This time last year they sent us to Adelaide to play in a final, this time it might be our opportunity,"" Sheedy said.

Sheedy said the team is coming into form at the right end of the season and because it is such an even season, anything is possible. ""We have a good sprinkling of players that are hungry and players are in good form. We have played enough at the MCG as well as the Dome. Probably since Round 8 we have been up there and amongst it,"" Sheedy said.

There has been much debate today over the two-week sentence handed down to Collingwood utility Brodie Holland. Sheedy said the decision is of no concern to Essendon and is just focussed on Friday night's match. ""I am not worried about last night's result. It has nothing to do with us, we are just minding our own business. The only concern we have is that we don't want any of our player's to go up in front of the Tribunal,"" Sheedy said. ""We have the worst free kicks for and the worst free kicks against and the most players reported. Why should I start talking about the Tribunal and image of the game? We just want to play good footy and that is what we have been doing, and that is the most important thing for us.""
