In a significant boost for the club, Essendon today announced it has signed new contracts with Leroy Jetta and Henry Slattery.

The club also announced that 2007 recruit David Myers - who will make his senior debut this weekend - has been offered a one-year extension to his contract.

Chief operating officer, Travis Auld, said all three players are key to the Bombers’ future.

“These young men are all emerging players and we expect them to play important roles for a long at time at our club,” he said.

Jetta and Slattery have both signed new two-year contracts while Myers’ extension means he is now contracted until the end of the 2010 season.
