Essendon midfielder Brent Prismall has made a successful return to football for Bendigo in their 11 point loss to Sandringham at Queen Elizabeth Oval on Saturday.

Prismall collected 15 possession in three quarters of football in his first match since injuring his knee in round 19 last season.

The 26-year-old looked strong in his first match back since round 19 last season after suffering an ACL injury.

Sandringham handed Bendigo their secondloss in a row as they dominated the contest for muchof the afternoon trapping the ball inside their forward half and dominatingplay around the ball.

A last quarter surge from Bendigo was notenough to see them get over the line, getting within five points before themargin drifted back out to 11.

Defender Tayte Pears showed strong signs inhis third match back from injury, in what was a best on ground performance.

First round draft selection ElliottKavanagh showed strong signs for Bendigo while rookie Brendan Lee was tagged bythe Zebras in a sign of his strong form this season.

Midfielder Travis Colyer proved to be ahandy acquisition in the midfield setting up the majority of Bendigo’s foraysforward.

Sam Lonergan and Henry Slattery both provedimportant bigger bodies around the contest but the home side were just not able toconvert on their opportunities.
