The boys are back training and according to High Performance Manager John Quinn have across the board returned in good condition. ""Injury wise this is our best pre-season campaign in years. We are extremely happy with the entire group, and the general condition in which they have returned.""

In particular Scott Lucas and Nathan Lovett Murray look to be in good nick, having put in extra sessions down at the club over the festive season. ""Scott had an interrupted start to his pre-season campaign after post-season ankle surgery, but  has worked very hard and returned in great shape.""

The boys are into the third day of their new year with the emphasis shifting towards an increase in speed and pressure, after a gruelling endurance based end to 2007. ""It is only day three, and there is a huge amount of work still to be done, but we are happy about our progress and excited about the coming weeks"".

After a short, sharp session this morning, Quinn finished it up by putting the players through a series of 100m bend sprints. Each and everyone left nothing behind as they headed inside for a well deserved Powerade. Their first Wednesday for season 2008 will continue with a skills session, an afternoon team meeting and speed and strength circuits.
