Adam McPhee haunted his old team Fremantle tonight and was the standout of Essendon's 30-point win tonight at the Pressure Cooker. McPhee continued his outstanding season with another stellar performance, which earned him best on ground honours.

""There is always that feeling of wanting to play well against your old side. I am over the situation of being traded and all that kind of stuff now. It is just about now winning the games and going on and us playing finals football,"" McPhee said.

McPhee was prominent in the air this evening and was successful at stopping many Fremantle forward attacks. McPhee took 10 marks and notched up 23 possessions. ""If my marks are up it certainly helps my game. I am playing as that kind of lay-off player, who is chopping off all the leads, so I think it worked well tonight,"" McPhee said.

Essendon started well tonight but didn't do the damage on the scoreboard. Similar to last week's second term against Geelong, where the team kicked 2.7, the Bombers' inaccuracy in front of goal was a potential problem at quarter time. However, the team hit back in the second term and booted 7.3 to set up victory by half-time.

McPhee said it was great to beat his old side, however felt the team let themselves down in the second half. ""We started off really well and got the score on the board, which was good. But unfortunately we didn't kick straight, which allowed them to stay in the game. Our second half we probably lapsed again and let them back in the game,"" McPhee said.
