The Essendon team has a busy schedule throughout the year and Christmas is a time for them to catch up with family and friends. The BomberLand team thought they would catch up with a few of the Essendon stars and see what they have planned for the festive season.

Michael Long:Michael Long and his family, wife Leslie, son Jake and daughter Michaela are packing up the four wheel drive and heading north to the Gold Coast. The Long family will arrive before Christmas and spend the day with family and friends. ""I am looking forward to Christmas Day - the kids love it! It will also be good to have a break and spend time with family and friends before getting back into training early next year,"" the two time premiership player said.

Damien Peverill:This Christmas is a little different for Damien Peverill - he can relax and enjoy his Christmas turkey - he has been drafted by a great club and is on the senior list. ""It is good to know my home for the next two years. For the past three years I haven't known where I will be,"" Peverill said. Peverill will spend Christmas lunch with his grandparents in Essendon and then head down the coast for a week with mates.

Jordan Bannister and Marc Bullen:The dangerous duo will be heading to Bullen's home town - Shepparton, for a brief break after Christmas. They plan to do a bit of waterskiing and a lot of relaxing. ""I am looking forward to taking it easy in the country and getting a tan,"" Bannister said.

Kevin Sheedy:Sheeds will be celebrating his 54th birthday with over 40 family and friends on Christmas Eve. ""Geraldine and I have all the family to our house on Christmas eve, and we have a double celebration. It is a lot of fun and a Sheedy tradition,"" the four time premiership coach said.
