The tussle to win the Unity Cup, being played at Windy Hill on Sunday 13th of April, has just got that much more enticing with Sports Without Borders throwing in $1,000 prize money ($700 for the winning team and $100 to the other three competing teams).

Sports Without Borders is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to providing support for young people from migrant and refugee backgrounds who are involved, or want to get involved, in sport.

The Unity Cup Family Day, run by the Essendon Football Club in conjunction with the Australian Federal Police, aims to unite the multicultural and wider community through AFL football.

Kicking off at 10am, the Unity Cup will feature a number of activities including a round robin football competition between four multicultural communities, multicultural entertainment, AFP/Victoria Police Expo, a jumping castle and face painting.

There will also be the chance to see some of your favourite Essendon players and grab their photo or autograph.

The feature of the day will be a hard fought battle between EFC/AFP Staff v United Community team. Ex-AFL players will include Matthew Knights, David Calthorpe and Paul Barnard.

Entry on the day is free so make sure you get down to Windy Hill on the day and be part of the action.
