Hayden Skipworth’s season was hampered by injuries but he was a handy contributor in each of his 10 games in 2009.
He proved himself as a goal-kicker and was able to find the ball.
The 26-year-old announced his retirement following the season and Skipworth will best be remembered for his off-field support of younger players.
Michael Hurley exploded onto the football scene in his first year and the fans loved his ability to hold down a key position at just 19-years of age.
Hurley was given a 7.17/10 and he is considered one of the brightest young talents in the AFL. His ability to contain more experinced opposition and play both forward and back was a key feature of his debut season.
Myers is one of a fleet of young Bombers that fans think will bounce back far better this season and secure a position most likely as a running backman/midfielder.
Matthew Lloyd in his final season was still the club's leading goal kicker with 35-goals. Over his career he was a true champion of the club and the game as an imposing goal-kicker and captain of the club. His 2009 season was rated 6.2/10 down from 7.7/10 in 2008 during which he kicked 62 goals. Lloyd's presence on the field will be missed but it gives the exciting range of young Bomber forwards their chance to shine 2010.
