Essendon has made two more key football department appointments with Denise Jennings joining the club in the full time role as physical preparation assistant and Benita Lalor starting in the part-time job of performance dietician.

Denise joins Essendon after seven years as head of physical preparation at the Victorian Institute of Sport and six years as a strength and conditioning coach at the AIS.

She has substantial experience working with world class individual and team sport athletes and has a proven track record in elite sport. Denise will work across all aspects of the program.

Benita is currently employed at the AIS where she has worked successfully with an extensive range of athletes. She will take up a part-time role to ensure we have world class nutrition and hydration practices in place.

Stuart Cormack said the club is extremely fortunate to have been able to secure the services of two highly regarded and experienced sports science staff.

""We have one remaining role to fill to complete our physical preparation team, and we are hopeful of being able to confirm an appointment to this role very soon,"" he said.
