Shannon Grant has been re-appointed as coach of the Bendigo Bombers next season following a much improved season by Essendon's VFL affiliate this year.
In his first season, Grant took the club from last on the VFL ladder in 2009 to a finals appearance this season with a 10-8 win-loss ratio across the home and away matches.
Club General Manager, Peter Lodewijks, said the Board of the Bendigo Bombers had no hesitation in endorsing the re-appointment of Shannon.
“Shannon came to the Bendigo Bombers with a plan to take this club forward on the field and he certainly lived up to our expectations this year,"" he said.
“It’s not just the fact that he coached the team into a finals series in his first season as coach, but along the way he’s earned the respect of the players and everyone associated with the club.”
