Essendon forward Scott Gumbleton is generating interestfrom rival clubs on the opening day of the three-week long trade period.
Essendon list manager Adrian Dodoro confirmed anumber of clubs had flagged their interest in the contracted big man.
""There are a number of clubs that have showninterest in Scotty, but at this point he's a required player,"" Dodorosaid.
Dodoro also stressed ruckman David Hille was a""required player"", with the club waiting to hear back from Hille'smanagement about its current offer.
He also indicated West Coast youngster KobyStevens, who has signalled his intentions to come home to Melbourne, was one ofmany players the Bombers were having a serious look at.
But another Eagle who wants to return toVictoria, versatile defender Mitch Brown, was not on the Bombers' radar, Dodorosaid.
