The Bendigo Bombers have suffered a disheartening 78-pointlost to a strong North Ballarat side yesterday at the Queen Elizabeth Oval inBendigo.

Key defender Cale Hooker - who made a return to the VFL froma hamstring injury – Henry Slattery and Tyson Slattery were all impressive forthe Bendigo side, despite the team’s 24.8 (152) to 10.14. (74) loss.

Bendigo recruits Trent Shinners and Ben Duscher also excelledin the match, with Duscher booting two majors.
