Coach James Hird said both players would be assessed during the week and given every opportunity to be fit to take on the Hawks.
“Stewart experienced a little bit of tightness in his hamstring so we will take every precaution with him beforeselecting him to play,” Hird said.
“David got a knock to his calf during the game against Geelong and it has taken a little bit longer than expected to recover – he will be assessed over the next couple of days to determine if he’s right to go.”
The Bombers will be bolstered by the return of Heath Hocking from suspension while experienced trio Tayte Pears, Jason Winderlich and Sam Lonergan are all pushing for selection.
