Scott Gumbleton made a pleasing return to from injury as he kicked two goals and was a solid contributor for Bendigo as they led all day to comfortably account for Box Hill in today's clash at Box Hill City Oval, eventaully winning by 35 points.

Gumbleton's presence excited Bomber fans who travelled to see the Bendigo game and while they would have been relieved just to see him come through injury free, his performance suggests it won't be long before he is in the senior lineup.

Gumbleton was well supported by several other young Bombers with Cale Hooker providing a strong marking target up forward and Danny Chartres fighting hard all day in the ruck.

Mal Michael, Damien Peverill and Adam Ramanauskas all played important roles in Bendigo's third win for the season, a win that sees them close to within one game of the top eight.

Brent Hartigan and Ali Fahour were also among Bendigo's best payers, Hartigan booting four goals and Fahour playing his best game for the season with a great four quarter effort.

Bendigo defeated Box Hill 18.11.119 to 12.12.84.
