Reynolds sidelined with stress fracture
Joel Reynolds has today been diagnosed with a stress fracture of the fibula in his left leg and he will miss the next four-to-six weeks. It is an untimely blow for Reynolds who has battled injury for much of his time at Windy Hill. Bouts of glandular fever and osteitis pubis and a dislocated ankle have sidelined him for prolonged periods in recent seasons.

It is an untimely blow for Reynolds who has battled injury for much of his time at Windy Hill. Bouts of glandular fever and osteitis pubis and a dislocated ankle have sidelined him for prolonged periods in recent seasons.
Reynolds has been one of the standout performers for the VFL side in recent weeks and he looked set to force his way back into the senior side in the second half of the season.
Apart from Reynolds, Adam Ramanauskas (knee) and Andrew Lee (osteitis), Essendon will have a full list to choose from for its clash against St Kilda next Friday night. Dean Rioli and possibly Matthew Allan will line up for the Bendigo Bombers against Coburg this Sunday.
He stands at 181cm and only weighs 70kg (making him one of the smallest players on the Essendon list), but no one could question the endeavour of Bombers’ youngster Angus Monfries. Having played the first four games in the seniors before heading to Bendigo for seven weeks, Monfries made an immediate impact on his return to the Bombers on Friday night against the West Coast Eagles with 17 disposals and five tackles.
