The traditional Anzac Day blockbuster between Essendon and Collingwood always guarantees a fierce contest and it will be no different when the two teams meet in Round 5 to mark their 16th Anzac Day encounter.
Essendon apparel sponsor adidas will help celebrate the occasion by offering members the opportunity to attend an exclusive shopping night at the adidas Bourke Street Sports Performance Store (Melbourne) tonight (Thursday), 22 April from 6pm.
Your Essendon membership card will grant you entry and everyone who enters the adidas store on the night will receive a 40% discount off all items (excluding mi-adidas, mi-coach, sunglasses and watches).
Essendon players will be in store to sign your adidas team wear and talk about the big match on the 25th April. You will also receive a bonus limited edition 2010 ANZAC Day Essendon Poster with your purchase.
Meanwhile, click here to bid on a unique half-Essendon half-Collingwood guernsey (pictured) that adidas has created for the Anzac day match. The Guernsey will be signed by both sides and auctioned on essendonfc.com.au with proceeds going to the RSL foundation.
The auction will be open until 6pm on Monday 26 April.
Matthew Knights says Brent Stanton is a near certainty to return for the Bombers' blockbuster Anzac Day clash, with Mark McVeigh and Angus Monfries also looking likely. All three players will be put through their paces at tomorrow's main training session to prove they are ready to return from injury.
