Bendigo will go into Saturday’s game against Collingwood looking for a win to end their current three game losing streak and remain in the finals hunt against a Magpies side bolstered by the return of Andrew Krakouer and Brent MacAffer from injury
Collingwood will have to travel to QueenElizabeth Oval in Bendigo for a 2pm start, with the twelfth placed Magpies setto be refreshed after a bye in round 18.
Bendigo coach Hayden Skipworth said his teamunderstands the importance of a win in Saturday afternoon’s game.
“They arein good form without setting the world on fire and for us we need a win thisweek to make finals,” Skipworth said.
“Theyare a very tall team with three genuine ruckmen.”
“We aregoing to have to defend them well with their ruck taps and kicks down the line.“
Brent Prismall is set to line up in histhird game back from injury while the recent form of rookie Brendan Lee isagain set to cause troubles for the opposition midfield.
Lee last week collected over 20 disposalsand had 11 tackles to continue his strong form this season.
Collingwood will be bolstered by the returnof Krakouer and MacAffer from knee injuries just six months afterhaving surgery.
With only 4 rounds remanding in the 2012VFL home and away season, round 19 marks a must win game for Bendigo with a finalsposition at sake.
