Star Essendon full forward Matthew Lloyd is making a late charge in the Tag Heuer Bomberland Player of the Year award. Lloyd was voted the Tag Heuer Player of the Week against Richmond last weekend after his sparkling six-goal effort. Blake Caracella and James Hird finished second and third in this week's voting. Lloyd is now within just six votes of competition leader James Hird with a minumum of two games and a maximum of four remaining this season. James Hird leads on 52 from Lloyd (46) and Jason Johnson (42). This week's lucky voter was John Stavriakos. He receives a $50 gift voucher to the on-line Bomber Shop.
