Essendon Football Club along with the Cancer Council are encouraging sporting clubs to wear a yellow armband during June/July to help prevent, detect, and treat cancers in men and support men in need by funding The Cancer Council's important cancer research, education and support programs.
The 2008 Call to Arms campaign kicks off in Adelaide this weekend when the Bombers take on the Crows at AAMI stadium. In celebration of the game, the AFL has given approval for the umpires to wear yellow, yellow goal flags and a yellow centre square.
