When the stats read at the end of the match - 31 free kicks against - there is no hiding from the fact that the team has been undisciplined over the course of the game. That was the case Friday night against Adelaide and it is no secret that Bomber coach Kevin Sheedy was disappointed with his players lack of restraint against the Crows. Sheedy has spoken to the team this week and said he will not tolerate continued undisciplined play from his team. The team focussed on tackling last night at training in a bid to improve the free kick ratio.

""From a point of view of the players they just have to make sure their attack on the ball is correct and our technique in tackling is better than what it is because we have given too many free kicks away for head high tackles - it is as simple as that,"" Sheedy said. At its skills session last night the team focussed on correct tackling procedure. ""We worked on tackling at training last night to make sure our technique is the proper way - that is what coaching is about,"" Sheedy said.

Sheedy also said that if his players continue to be undisciplined he would consider dropping them because the team can't afford to be giving away so many free kicks. ""That will happen if it is unnecessary. It is common sense in the end. You don't pick them because they are giving away too many free kicks. The aggression should be at the football and they know that. We are not happy with the free kick tally against us, but that being said I think there is free kicks out there that we can get,"" Sheedy remarked.

The Bombers will have one more skills session before taking on Brisbane on Saturday night. Sheedy hinted at training last night that the match committee will make between three to six changes and suggested Aaron Henneman and Dean Rioli are likely inclusions. With Steve Alessio getting off at the VFL Tribunal last night he is also in the mix, as is Mark Mercuri who is available after serving a two week suspension. Jason Johnson is likely to come back into the side after being a late withdrawal from the Adelaide match with back spasms. Joe Misiti trained last night in the skills session for the first time since spraining his foot in Round 14 and is also a chance to come back into the team. If Misiti, Johnson and Rioli all return it will bolster the mid-field stocks – an area that Brisbane is extremely strong.
