This week, Michael is due to participate in his 750th official match as a player and coach, comprising 53 games as a player for St Kilda, 121 games as a player for Richmond, 135 games as a coach for Footscray, 243 games as a coach for West Coast and 197 games as a coach for Collingwood. This makes him only the fourth person to reach this mark in the history of the game, behind only Kevin Sheedy, Jock McHale and Leigh Matthews. 2008 AFL ATTENDANCES

The AFL's round 11 attendance figure of 308,527 represented the eighth separate round this year that AFL attendances have exceeded 300,000 people. This has now equalled the all-time record for total rounds of 300,000 or more people, established in the 2005 season. At this point of the 2008 Toyota Premiership Season, AFL attendances are 5.26 per cent ahead of last year's figures, with 3,391,470 this year, compared to 3,222,037 in 2007..
