Matthew Lloyd created history on the weekend when he became the first Essendon player since Geoff Blethyn in 1972 to kick 100 goals in a season.

Lloyd became just the third Bomber player to achieve the feat - the other was the great John Coleman - and the first under coach Kevin Sheedy.
