Essendon’s Flight Plan fundraising barometer surpassed $250,000 this week and the club now has its sights set on reaching the $500,000 milestone before the Crichton Medal.

The current tally stands at $257,742 from a total of 800 donors since the Flight Plan launched five weeks ago.

Essendon Chairman David Evans has urged members and supporters yet to contribute to make a donation.

“The club is extremely grateful for the amazing generosity of our members and supporters,” Evans said.

“But with only 800 individual donors so far, I’m hoping the number of donors not just the dollar amount starts to increase significantly”

“We need all of our 50,000 loyal and passionate members to get on board and make a donation.”

“I can’t emphasise enough the critical importance of this project to the future of our club.”

Every donor that contributes to the Flight Plan will be recognised at the new facility.
