Brendon Goddard is enjoying the fresh environment created by his move to Essendon under free agency in the off-season.

The Bombers new recruit said he had enjoyed everything that had come with the move since joining the club in November.

“It has been eight weeks so far and I have been loving every minute of it,” Goddard said at last week's Annual General Meeting.

“The thought of moving is obviously quite daunting but the people within the football club have made the transition as easy as it can be.”

After training with the club for two months Goddard said he was excited about what the playing list could deliver moving forward.=

“Ultimately we all play football for success and that is obviously to win premierships.”

“I believe the Essendon Football Club is in a great position to compete over the next five to six years, hopefully longer.”

“I saw the club in a really good position to compete with the players that we have and the young talent coming through.

Goddard is currently on a break playing some of his favourite golf courses around Tasmania before returning to training with the rest of his teammates in early January.
