Essendon father-son recruit Joe Daniher has been named in the 2012 TAC Cup team of the year in recognition of his outstanding season for the Calder Cannons.
Daniher was named at full forward in the team, alongside two Calder Cannons teammates.
Joe, the son of Anthony, will join the Bombers next season under the father-son bidding system which is likely to see the club part with their first round draft pick at the national draft.
The TAC Cup team of the year is chosen by a selection panel based on players performances in the TAC Cup throughout the season as well as their form in the NAB AFL Under 18 Championships.
Calder Cannons regional manager Ian Kyte has previously stated Daniher could be one of the best players to ever come out of the TAC Cup in the 21 years of his involvement with the competition.
Daniher ha already earned All-Australian honours earlier this year for his performances at the NAB AFL Under-18 Championships.
