Essendon midfieldersBen Howlett and David Myers are in line to make a return ahead of Saturdaynight's clash against Collingwood.
Howlett has missed the pastthree weeks with a minor hamstring injury while Myers has been out of action sinceround 17 with a calf complaint.
General manager offootball operations Paul Hamilton said the pair would face fitness tests ahead of the Bombers' final clash for the year.
“We hope to have BenHowlett and David Myers back in the fold, which is great news,” Hamilton said.
“They should both beavailable - given they get through this week without any complications orproblems.”
Hamilton confirmedAlwyn Davey had suffered a hamstring strain which would see him miss the finalmatch of the season.
“He will miss the lastgame of the year and will go through the normal rehab process to get it right,”he said.
“It is important withall our soft tissues that we get people 100 per cent so that when we come backto pre-season, we are ready to go.
“It is important wehave a good pre-season program in place to make sure we don’t have the samehigh level of soft tissue injuries that we have had this year.”
Stewart Crameri isexpected to be fit to play despite suffering a minor knock to his shoulder during Fridaynight’s loss to Richmond.
Despite the club being ruled out of the finals, Hamilton said an improved performanceagainst Collingwood on Saturday night was crucial.
“It is really importantthat we go out there and show some fight and spirit in the way we go aboutthings,” Hamilton said.
“It is an importantgame for Collingwood with their top four chances on the line so we need to makesure we go out there and play good, strong honest football.”
Brendan Lee will not beavailable for the final home and away match of the season after hurting hisshoulder for Bendigo in the VFL on the weekend.
