Can the Bombers bounce back? That is the question being posed this week as Essendon prepares for its Qualifying Final re-match with arch-rival Richmond. The Tigers proved too good last week but the finals’ draw has given Essendon the chance to avenge that loss just seven days later. It is the business end of the season. It is the seasoned campaigner versus the new kid on the block. It should be a sensational start to what promises to be a sensational finals’ series. Richmond was very good last week – there is no question about that. Essendon by the same token was nowhere near its best. Was that a result of having nothing to play for or did it come about as a result of the pressure applied by the Tigers?
