Essendon players returned from an actionpacked end of season trip to the USA earlier this week.

The players attended a number of touristattractions as well as a NFL and Major League baseball game during their timein the States.

Retiring Bomber Mark McVeigh said the tripwas a great experience for everyone to be able to bond together.

“We did plenty of different things on this trip including attending NFL andbaseball games, visiting the USSS Midway Aircraft Carrier in San Diego andeating at a heap of great restaurants,” McVeigh said.

“A real big part of a trip like this was thechance for the younger guys to get to know the older guys better and improvethose relationships.”

As seen in the image above McVeigh, DustinFletcher, David Zahrakis and Doctor Bruce Reid visited the USSS Midway AircraftCarrier in San Diego.

“There was plenty of history in thatadventure with all of us learning plenty from out trip to the Midway museum,”McVeigh said.

The 232 game retiring veteran said thechance to get away together without the pressures of a football was beneficialfor the entire group.

“We were all able to experience a differentculture together in a different and relaxing environment,” he said.

“Wedid a lot of relaxing, sight seeing and tourist type activities, it is a greatbonding opportunity to have fun and laugh together.”
