The Bomberland Player of the Year is now sponsored by Tag Heuer, giving website users the chance to win fantastic prizes at the end of the season. Bomberland users give their 3-2-1 votes for each game. These votes are then collated with the top five vote getters being awarded points towards the Tag Heuer Player of the Year award. And one lucky voter each week will win a $50 gift voucher to the Bomber Shop and go into a draw at the end of the season and have the chance of winning $800 worth of Tag Heuer Merchandise plus two seats at the W.S Crichton Medal where they will present the Tag Hueuer Bomberland Player of the Year Award.

After 18 rounds this year's Tag Heuer Player of the Year award looks certain destined for a close finish. The top four players are James Hird (46), Jason Johnson (39), Matthew Lloyd (36) and Sean Wellman (25). With Matthew Lloyd missing the next two weeks and James Hird also missing at least two games, Johnson and Wellman could pounce. The next two weeks will be critical to the outcome of this year's award.
Last round James Hird was clearly voted Essendon's best player ahead of Jason Johnson, Adam Ramanauskas, Mark McVeigh and Sean Wellman.
