Essendon Football Club will officially recognise the outstanding career of former champion Paul Salmon on the club banner this weekend.

The Essendon banner will congratulate Salmon on his contribution to Essendon, Hawthorn and AFL football.

Salmon played 209 games for Essendon between 1983 and 1995 and kicked 509 goals during that period.

During his time at essendon, Salmon was twice an All Australian (1987 and 1988) and won the goal kicking on seven ocassions.
