Fitness coach John Quinn is excited about the challenge ahead - he has put the disappointment of 2001 behind him and is focusing on the 2002 season. In the final interview in the John Quinn Preview and Review series, Quinn speaks directly to Bomber supporters and tells them what to expect in the forthcoming season.

Q – You are obviously very excited about the challenge ahead, what would you say to Essendon fans – there could be a few more surprises for them over the next couple of seasons?

A – To the Essendon fans who will be looking at this – you’ve had a great run over the last three years as a supporter – don’t lose sight of that and all the fantastic times the boys at the footy club have given you. It was disappointing for you as a supporter to lose the Grand Final this year, imagine what it feels like for the players not to get a flag this year.

I think as supporters you sometimes under estimate how important you are in the overall scheme of things. For a president of another club to stand up and label you as arrogant is actually a greater testament to you because other clubs fear you as a supporter. On game day you might not realise how significant that is down on the ground, for the players to hear you supporting them. I just encourage you to keep supporting the players, feel apart of the club. You are a very important part of the club and continue to support us because the next few years are going to be tremendous. Now is the time to really get behind the club and support the players! Go Bombers!
