Star midfielder Jobe Watson will face a probing fitness test this morning to determine if he will play against Sydney tomorrow at the SCG.
Watson hurt his ankle against Carlton two weeks ago and nearly played last week against Collingwood.
Football operations manger said a final decision might not be know today but the club is reasonably confident.
""We might not know today because a big part of this is seeing how he pulls up tomorrow,"" he said.
When asked if Watson would play even if he wasn't 100% Hamilton said the coaching department wouldn't take any chances with him.
""We have to keep in mind the rest of the season and not just this week,"" Hamilton said.
""But he is a very important player for us especially at the SCG and we hope he comes up.""
