Aaron Henneman struggled to stay on the track this season and managed just seven senior games due to an ongoing battle with injury. Essendon fans were disappointed with him continually being sidelined and also felt he didn’t have a big enough impact when he did play. A number of fans were of the opinion to trade him and put time into developing a younger player. The fans gave Henneman a ranking of 3.09/10.

What some of the Essendon fans had to say:
""Bad luck with injury, and much ridiculed by fans, but if he can get his body right he has a future."" (Paul Hess)

""This may also sound harsh considering Aaron's injuries, but he is now a four or five year player at this club, and to me, when he did get a go at senior level, not enough was shown and he too is not looking likely to go mouch further."" (Samuel Wharton)

""We didn't get to see the best of him unfortunately because of injury, but I can see he has potential as a good backman."" (Jason Modica)

""Looking forward to seeing him play with the departure of Jacobs, but injury has probably him from making the desired impact he would have wished for. Is very inexperienced for a 23 year old and might have to be delisted or traded due to bad luck with injuries."" (Hasan Erdogan)

""Aaron has had a bumpy season with lots of injuries and when on the field plays well."" (Laurence Rosen)

""I thought Aaron found it hard to find a regular position in the team, he always seemed to be filling gaps, and in my opinion is not a ruckman. Making the right decision whether by foot or hand resulted in turnovers which cost us dearly."" (John Mackenzie)

""WE NEED TO SEE MORE OF AARON!! Has proven to be an effective defender (and even ruckman) when 100% fit. Good hands and good skills but we just simply don't see enough of him."" (Randall Taylor)

""He needs to work hard during the off season and manage himself better. One full season will do wonders for him and get some much needed consistency if 2005 is to his year."" (Joe Yammouni)
