Over nine thousand Bombers fans have flocked to Windy Hill for the 2012 Family Day, proudly presented by Red Energy.
The players were presented with their 2012 guernsey, posed for photos, and signed autographs for the Essendon faithful.
Fans got involved in the many activities on offer including posing for a photo at the True Value Solar booth as well as playing on the jumping castles and giant slides.
Essendon coach James Hird said it was pleasing to see such a big crowd in attendance.
“It is fantastic to see so many Essendon fans here showing their support for the club in 2012,” Hird said.
""It is always great to see so many people turning up to show how much the football club means to them.""
The club would like to thank all Bomber fans for attending and continuing to show your support for the red and black in 2012.
Before last season began, Essendon coach James Hird met with David Zaharakis, and told him that if he worked hard, and pushed himself as much as possible, Zaharakis could grow into a great AFL player.
