On Sunday 25 February, the Essendon Football Club will stage its annual Family Day at Queens Park, Moonee Ponds. Family Day provides an opportunity for fans to get up close and personal with the Essendon players and coaches as they continue preparations for the season ahead.
Unlike previous years, Essendon has decided to take its Family Day to Queens Park this year to allow it to engage more closely with the local community. The Family Day will be staged as a part of the Moonee Valley Festival - a celebration of local art, music and culture.
It will allow Bomber fans to celebrate everything red and black and also appreciate the talents of the local community. Essendon's activities will be staged on the Cottage Stage between 10am and Noon.
During this time, Bomber fans will have the chance to get up close and personal with their favourite Essendon players by grabbing an autograph or be guided through the gruelling mini draft camp activities.
And don’t forget the traditional Guernsey presentation where the entire team receives their jumper for the 2007 season. A few lucky fans will be picked from the crowd to help with the presentation - a truly once in a lifetime opportunity - but you have to be there to be part of it!
Not to mention, with merchandise and membership stalls on hand, you can stock up on all the latest Bomber gear for the year ahead!
