Relay for Life at Windy Hill
Essendon will host the 11th annual Moonee Valley Relay for Life at Windy Hill on Friday 19th February and Saturday 20th February. The Relay for Life is more than just a fundraiser – it is an opportunity to get together with your community and celebrate cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost to cancer and fight back against a disease that takes too much.

Membership news update – over 15,000 membership packs have now been sent out to supporters and thousands more will be sent out over the next few weeks.
The small, unexpected delay in the mailing of 2010 membership packs (which were originally planned to be sent mid December) is due to a number of factors including an upgrade of Essendon’s IT systems which will ultimately improve the accuracy of club information.
The AFL today announced that four new Life Members would be inducted at the 2010 Annual General Meeting next month for their services to Australian Football, after having their award confirmed by the AFL Commission. Former Essendon captain and three-time Coleman Medallist Matthew Lloyd qualified automatically during the 2009 AFL season by reaching 300 games while the Commission also recognised outstanding service to the game by three people and awarded Life Membership to Ray Allsopp, Neil Balme and Laurie Dwyer.
